Sport plays a central role in life at Christian Brothers Grammar School, providing pupils with opportunities to develop their skills, fitness, confidence and teamwork both on and off the field.
The school takes great pride in its rich sporting history and enduring tradition of excellence, with success at local, provincial and national level across a range of sports. Our extensive programme includes Gaelic football, hurling, soccer, rugby and athletics, with pupils regularly representing the school in competitions and achieving success at all levels.
Through sport, we promote commitment, resilience, leadership and respect, helping young people to develop values that extend far beyond the playing field. Whether competing at the highest level or taking part for enjoyment and personal development, every pupil is encouraged to become involved and make the most of the sporting opportunities available at Christian Brothers Grammar School.

Conall McCrory Golf Competition
Our school community recently celebrated the annual Conall McCrory Memorial golf tournament. We were thrilled to welcome 71 students to this major fixture on our school calendar, making the event a resounding success. Held in loving memory of our past pupil, Conall McCrory, the tournament serves a vital purpose. All monies raised from the event directly support the incredible work of the Cancer Fund for Children.
Huge congratulations go to our overall tournament winner, Turlough O'Hagan (12C). We extend our heartfelt thanks to Conall’s parents, Mary and Kieran McCrory, and past pupil and Omagh Golf Club President, Dr Eamon McMullan, for presenting the prizes. We also deeply appreciate the school staff and Omagh Golf Club volunteers who made this special day possible.
